I remember having problems with a modern made chest of drawers of the particle board construction. The drawers kept sticking and jumping out of the runners, and when I eventually managed to open them they would not close, then the flimsy bottoms fell out of the drawers as well. After that annoying experience I decided to only buy good quality chests of drawers.
In the kitchen, dining room and living room most drawers that are in use are from a sideboard or dresser however with such a huge choice of chests drawers now available there are many that are suitable for these rooms. A chest could be used to store place mats, cutlery, instruction manuals or recipe books. Contemporary designers are now building modern and often quite funky chest suitable for any room of the house. Some of the designs seen include stacking the drawers at an odd angle and incorporating bright colours so that the chest becomes a stand out piece of furniture. Even with the various quirks each chest remains a functional piece of home furniture.
In addition to space savings within the room, a plentiful space within the drawers themselves, the chest of drawers options is also stylish and durable. You will not be embarrassed to have a chest of drawers in your bedroom. Rather than being unsightly, they actually add a nice feel and look to the room. The chest of drawers also are well constructed and are built truly to stand the test of time.
MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is something the same again, only the particles are smaller. This allows more detail to be machined into the finished product and quite ornate pieces can be produced which are then painted or veneered.
It is highly important to figure out a place where this plastic chest of drawers will go in your house and thus taking a measurement for the same would be a great idea. It is highly advisable to put the plastic drawers away from the radiator and fireplaces. It is better to go for the designs that have an adjustable feet, which can probably help in getting the right fit on the floor and the wobbling can be easily taken care off, rather than putting a wedge under the table.
For example, a chest of drawers truly does maximize the amount of available space that will be available after the placement of that furniture piece.
